Air Conditioning Installation Edmonton
The Person Who Quotes Your Job Is The Person Who Installs It.
Most companies send a salesman to your door. He promises you the world, hands the job to someone you have never met, and disappears. That is not a knock, That’s just how the industry is built.
We built Helix differently
Honesty | Community | Professionalism

"We are extremely impressed with the quality and professionalism of our central AC installation. Matt was not only knowledgeable and friendly but he showed stellar tradesman ship. We are very happy with the services provided by Helix Home Solutions and would highly recommend them to anyone."

"Matt and his team were more than accommodating when it came to installing my a/c. Worked within my time available to be home for them to complete the install. They ran into a small problem with some existing line sets which they quickly solved. They’re professional and do quality work that they stand by."

"Helix was a fantastic company to deal with right from the start. My family and I are very happy with the air conditioner that was installed not only are we more comfortable in our home, it didn’t break the bank. They’re very fair in in price and very efficient and clean with installation . I would recommend thiem to my family and friends."
One Person. Quote to Finish.
This is the part that sets us apart from every other company in Edmonton and we want to be direct about it.
When you contact Helix, a ticketed journeyman comes to your home. He assesses your space, builds your quote, pulls your permits, installs your system, and does not leave until it is running properly and you understand how it works. Same person. Start to finish. No salesman handing off notes to an installer who has never seen your home. No details lost between departments. No surprises on install day because someone forgot to communicate something important.
We know this is not how most companies operate. That is exactly why we do it this way.

Edmonton Summers Are Not Forgiving.
Neither Is a Bad Install.
Windermere families spending their first summer in a new build. Retirees in Castle Downs on a fixed income who need someone they can actually trust. Oil and gas workers in Terwillegar who invested in a home and expect the people they hire to match that standard. Families in Millwoods and Castle Downs who just need the heat handled without the runaround.

We know who lives here.
We live here too.
Edmonton hits 30 plus degrees in July and minus 30 in January. Your home comfort system is not optional. It is not a luxury.
It is what separates a home from a survival situation when the seasons swing hard. Getting it installed wrong, undersized, unpermitted, or handed off to someone underqualified, has real consequences. Higher energy bills. Equipment that fails before it should. Insurance complications when you go to sell.
Getting it done right the first time is not a premium. It is the baseline.

How We Work
Your installation happens in stages. We handle each one with precision and care. No shortcuts. No guessing.
Step 1: You Talk to a Journeyman, Not a Salesman
Assessment and planning
From your first call, you are speaking with someone who actually knows the trade. No scripts. No pressure tactics. No one whose job is to close you. Just an honest conversation about what your home needs.
Step 2: We Come Out and Tell You the Truth
Permits and preparation
We assess your space, calculate what your home actually requires, and give you a written quote before anyone touches a tool. If a repair makes more sense than a replacement, we will tell you that. If something we find could put your family at risk, we will show you and explain your options. Your money, your decision.
Step 3: The Same Person Does the Work
Installation and testing
No handoff. No stranger at your door on install day. The journeyman who walked through your home with you is the one completing the job. Permitted. To code. Cleaned up. Tested. Done.
About Helix Home Solutions
We are Edmontonians. We grew up here, we work here, and we got tired of watching a broken industry take advantage of the people it was supposed to serve. Fake reviews. Leasing programs marketed as rent to own. Salesmen overlook problems until the job was already started and the customer felt too committed to walk away. We have seen it all firsthand working for the big companies in this city.
Helix was built as the answer to that. Every journeyman we send is ticketed. Every quote is written and held on install day. Every job is permitted and inspected because shortcuts become your problem eventually, and we are not willing to do that to a neighbour.
We are a local business, owned by Albertans, serving Albertans. When this company wins, this community wins. That is not a tagline. That is why we started.

The Real Cost of Getting This Wrong
An undersized unit running constantly, never reaching temperature, quietly inflating your power bill every month.
An install that was never permitted, discovered when you go to sell your home. A crew that finished fast, handed you a manual, and stopped answering calls six months later when something was not right.
This is not a hypothetical. It is what Edmonton homeowners tell us when they call looking for someone to fix what the last company left behind.
A proper installation means your system is sized for your specific home. Permits are pulled and inspections are passed. The work is done by someone accountable, not anonymous. And when you call after the job is done, someone answers.
That is the standard. That is what we deliver.
Frequently Asked Questions
It starts before anyone touches a tool. We assess your home, size the system correctly for your specific space, and provide a written scope before work begins. On install day we handle all electrical connections, refrigerant lines, condensate management, and thermostat setup. Most installs are completed in a single day. We do not leave until the system is tested and you are walked through how it works.
Honestly, it depends. The size of your home, the system required, whether ductwork modifications are needed, and what we find during the assessment all factor into the final number. What we can tell you is that every variable gets accounted for before we write the quote, not discovered after the job starts. The number we give you is the number you pay. No verbal estimates. No figures that shift on install day.
Yes. Every a/c installation requires an electrical permit under the Alberta Safety Codes Act. We pull every permit and arrange all required inspections as part of the job. Unpermitted work can void your home insurance and create serious problems when you sell. We do not skip that step.
A properly installed and maintained air conditioner in Edmonton typically lasts 15 to 20 years. Annual maintenance is the single biggest factor in reaching the top of that range. We offer seasonal tune-ups to protect your investment year after year.
Yes. Ductless systems are ideal for older homes, additions, garages, or rooms that central air does not reach. Installation requires only a small exterior wall penetration and can typically be done in a few hours. Every unit is sized and positioned based on the actual room, not a rough estimate.
We serve Edmonton and surrounding communities including Sherwood Park, St. Albert, and beyond. Not sure if we cover your area? Call us and we will tell you straight.
What Happens After the Job Is Done
This is where a lot of companies disappear. The job is invoiced, the crew is gone, and suddenly no one is picking up the phone.
That is not how we operate.
The journeyman who installed your system is the same person you call if something does not feel right. You are not navigating a call centre or explaining your situation to someone who has never seen your file. We stand behind our work because our name is on it, and in a city this size your reputation travels fast.
If something goes wrong, we come back. Simple as that.
The Job That Said Everything About Who We Are
We had a customer reach out due to issues with their furnace. They were retired and on a fixed budget and wanted to extend the life of their furnace. It was aging, starting to fail but we managed to prolong its life two more years and told them we can revisit when the numbers made sense.
Unfortunately the time came that repairs no longer made sense. The original furnace was installed with unfavorable techniques that would not pass current inspection standards. We also inspected the third-party installation of the tankless water heater and identified improper gas lines and venting, a dangerous situation they had no idea about. A condition we felt compelled to rectify. With the replacement this allowed us to finally resolve these shortcomings.
Not only were we able to provide a more than reasonable estimate that beat any others, we also rectified the issues with the install quality of the furnace, and the tankless. Completing it in one day, this allowed the client to not go cold through the night. Plus we upgraded his filter rack and humidifier to bring a more comfortable environment
They left this heartfelt review:
"Helix Home Solution guys Matt, Dave and Gabe went over and above in every way completing the swap out of our furnace as they said they would in one day, handling every issue with high professionalism, explaining details as necessary. What a great experience. And the cost was at a great point as well. Very pleased with all their work. Thanks guys."
You Deserve to Know Who Is Coming to Your Door.
With Helix, you already do.
When you call, our receptionist gets you booked in. From that point on, the journeyman assigned to your job is your single point of contact. He comes to your home, writes your quote, pulls your permits, and installs your system. What he quotes is what you pay. The job he starts is the job he finishes. No handoffs. No surprises. No wondering if the person at your door has ever seen your file.
Edmonton has enough companies that treat your home like a number on a daily target. We are not one of them.
